It is tough out there when you are a student thinking about going into the architectural field and you don’t know what life as an architect would really be like.  At VMA we like to open our doors to students considering this career path and show them a little bit about the industry.

Our most recent student visit was a few weeks ago, when two brothers Larz and Kyle Vahamaki visited our office.

Kyle, Larz and Proud Mom!

We took some time to tour them around, show them projects and learn some of the ins and outs of architecture.  They got to learn about things from the creative side, to the technical side, to the business side of the industry.

We’ve heard good things since their visit.  Larz will be attending SAIC (School of the Art Institute of Chicago) in the fall. Kyle will be a Senior next year at Rancho Bernardo HS and was just awarded 1st place in Poway Unified District for his animated video on the Power of Caring. The video will be also competing in the Del Mar Fair Video competition.

Keep up the good work guys!
