This project consists of four major design and construction components; Building 1986 Station Communications Building, Building 1555 Renovation, Building 1527 & 1529 demolition and site improvements, and base-wide infrastructure with outside plant improvements. The new two-story station communications facility will house several different departments of the USMC Communications and Information Systems "G-6" unit, including a new data distribution center. With Building 1986 completed and fully operational, the Design-Build team will commence with the renovation of the south wing of 1555 for office use, and the demolition of 1527/1529 for a new surface parking, training, and deployment staging area.

USGBC LEED Gold Certification is being pursued for this project.
