This expansion and renovation of the existing MCRD Messhall facility includes a new 9,000 SF Dining Room addition providing an additional 600 seats to support the Marine Corps "Grow-the-Force" Program. Design includes expansion of the kitchen and serving lines, renovation of the and freezer/refrigerator areas and a 1,500 SF Administrative Office and Break Room addition. The new additions and renovated exterior facade follow the historical character of MCRD including arched colonnades, axial circulation and a ceremonial gateway entrance focal point. The project incorporates state-of-the-art Sustainable Design Concepts and will be certified LEED-Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

USGBC LEED Gold Certification is being pursued for this project.
