This state of the art facility is a joint City and County project with over 300 kennels, office and administration spaces, animal support spaces, a covered outdoor sally port with roll-up garage doors, parking area, landscaping and paving, entry court, and a dog exercise courtyard. This project was the first phase of a joint complex shared with the San Diego Humane Society. "2002 - Orchid Award for Public Art".
