Conceptual site and building floor plans were prepared for development of a Type II Aircraft Maintenance Hangar for C40A aircraft with high-bay hangar and adjacent administration and aviation shops maintenance / storage areas; development of an Air Traffic Control Tower, including cab and auxiliary spaces; site plans for a new taxiway, runway and paved apron areas. Support documentation included geotechnical investigations for hangar, control tower and taxiway/ runway apron and paving areas, progressive collapse design for the air traffic control tower, low-level AFFF fire protection system and discharge to base industrial waste systems, flightline security and antiterrorism force protection inclusions, and phasing coordination between existing and new air traffic control tower operations and utility infrastructure.
